Call for Workshops, Tutorials and Competitions
1. Workshop Proposals
- The workshop's name and duration (half or full day).
- A brief description, motivation, and rationale, emphasizing its relevance to the CPS/IoT community.
- A draft version of the CFP, including workshop deadlines.
- Organizer details: names, affiliations, contact information, and short bios. The complete organizing committee should be listed; post-submission changes aren't permitted.
- A tentative list of prospective TPC members and their affiliations, specifying confirmed participation.
- The workshop's planned format, including expected paper presentations, talks, panels, posters, demonstrations, and discussion methods.
- Expected submission and participant numbers.
- A description of plans for publicity.
- For recurring workshops: a history, including submission, acceptance, and attendance stats, and changes compared to prior editions.
2. Tutorial Proposals
- The title of tutorial and its duration (half or full day).
- A brief description, motivation, and rationale, including the reasons why it is of interest to the broad CPS/IoT community and the potential target audience.
- The name, affiliation, contact info, and short bio of each organizer (note that the complete organizing team should be included, and later changes are not allowed).
- A detailed plan of the tutorial's format and technical requirements.
Tutorials should interest a broad audience in CPS and IoT; they should instruct attendees about specific topics, teach the use of new systems or tools, or provide the necessary background to understand critical technical advances in CPS- and IoT-related topics. Proposals will be evaluated based on the general interests of the CPS-IoT Week participants, the proposal's quality, and the presenters' qualifications. If accepted, the tutorial organizers must provide a beta website containing links to the tutorial materials to the chairs one month before the conference, with preliminary content that will be used in calls for participation. The CPS-IoT Week organizers reserve the right to cancel a tutorial if too few attendees are registered.
3. Competition Proposals
- The title of the competition and its duration (half or full day).
- A brief description of the competition, including what task is under evaluation and why the competition interests the CPS-IoT community.
- Tell us how the competition will be run:
- Expected duration and format of the competition
- Include eligibility and competition categories, if applicable
- An overview (or draft) of the rules and assessment criteria
- Request for the Organizing Committee for facilities, including required space (area in square feet and minimum height), power, networking, audiovisual, and other requirements.
- For continued competitions, provide a summary of previous runs (e.g., the number of participants and their composition) and ideas for improvement. Include a link to the previous competition website or video.
- Please include the names, contact information, and a brief bio of the competition organizers describing their experience organizing previous competitions, workshops, etc.
- (Optional)Include a list of possible participants.
- Follow-up plans (if any) to disseminate the ideas from the competition, for example, through position papers or special journal issues.
Proposal Submission

- "Tutorial Proposal: [Your Proposal Title]" for tutorial proposals.
- "Competition Proposal: [Your Proposal Title]" for competition proposals.
All submissions will undergo a standard review process within the Organizing Committee. Acceptance decisions will be based on the general interest of the CPS-IoT Week attendees, potential significance, and logistical requirements. The CPS-IoT Week committee reserves the right to cancel workshops, tutorials, or competitions if insufficient participants register.
